Ladies 1st XI v Old Kingstonians
Last match of the season also sees our last match with Goalie as our coach so everyone was fired up on arrival. Philly D had done a great job getting a good team together & a last minute addition saw Tux joining the list. It took the first 10 minutes to get going on a sticky pitch, which resulted in a goal being conceded. The rest of the first half was steady, with a few injuries for the opposition (again due to the pitch, definitely nothing to do with us!)
After a rousing few words from Goalie we came out fighting. Within the first 10 minutes we had several shorts and missed chances heather finally got a cracking goal on target to put us 1-1. The game was afoot. Michele came out to meet a player and managed to take them out. About three minutes to the end fletch finished off a nicely worked manoeuvre to put us 2-1 up. We held on to the lead to win our last game of the season. Good work team & MASSIVE thanks to Goalie for putting up with us for the last 5 years. You’ll be a tough act to follow!
